Information we process

• URLs or X handles submitted for placement and public metadata retrieved from those destinations, such as a title, description, and icon.
• URLs you submit to free inspection tools, plus the public HTML, HTTP headers, and robots.txt we retrieve from those destinations because you asked us to inspect them. These fetches are user-initiated, size-capped, and time-capped; we do not crawl the web in the background.
• Bid totals, Stripe Checkout and payment identifiers, payment status, refunds, and disputes. Stripe processes card and billing details; SEO Outbid does not receive full card numbers.
• Page views, referring pages, approximate location, device and browser information, and interactions such as starting checkout or selecting a listing.
• Hashed network and user-agent information used to deduplicate site visits and listing clicks, enforce rate limits, and reduce abuse. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the public traffic counter.
• Reports, support requests, and other communications you send to us.

How and why we use information

We process information to provide and rank paid placements, complete and reconcile payments, display listing metadata, run user-initiated URL inspections, measure delivered clicks, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate content, respond to requests, maintain the service, and meet legal obligations. Depending on the context, this processing is necessary to perform a contract, comply with law, or pursue our legitimate interests in operating and securing SEO Outbid. Where consent is required, we rely on consent.

Production service providers

• Railway hosts the application and database.
• Stripe provides Checkout, payment processing, fraud controls, refunds, and dispute handling.
• PostHog provides product and web analytics.

These providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable safeguards and contractual terms.

Public statistics and outbound links

Submitted listing information, bid totals, rank, aggregate site visits, and click totals are public. Public statistics do not identify individual visitors. Selecting a listing opens an external website whose operator controls its own privacy practices. Do not submit private, confidential, or personal URLs for placement or inspection.

Retention

We retain listing and payment records for as long as needed to operate the leaderboard, resolve refunds or disputes, prevent fraud, and satisfy accounting or legal obligations. Analytics and security records are retained only for the periods configured with our providers or as reasonably needed for these purposes. We may retain a minimal record when necessary to document a deletion request, prevent abuse, or comply with law.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some records may be retained where required by law.

Security and changes

We use access controls, signed payment webhooks, rate limits, and other technical safeguards designed to protect the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as SEO Outbid or its providers change; the date above identifies the latest version.
